Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City for just £86million this summer as a result of a two-tiered release clause.
The striker broke numerous records in his debut Premier League season as he helped Pep Guardiola's side claim a historic treble. He remains central to City's attack and tops the goal charts once again, but a European rival could land him for a steal this summer.
AS reports that Haaland could move on when the season ends with Real Madrid thought to be his dream move. They claim that Los Blancos are his ideal destination and the outlet suggests "if it were up to him, he would sign for [Real] Madrid tomorrow."
City's Premier League rivals don't have the same release clause though, with Forbes reporting that any fellow English side would have to spend around £170m to land the Norwegian - twice what the likes of Real would have to pay.
Real were keen on Haaland before he chose to move to Manchester when leaving Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish giants could make another move for the prolific forward, who would be able to reunite with former team-mate Jude Bellingham.
City's CEO Ferran Soriano, despite the reported existence of a release clause, said earlier this season that he was confident Haaland would remain. “Haaland is happy at Manchester City," he said. "He has done something extraordinary with us since he arrived and I think he will be here for many years.
Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta said on his next move: "I think it is not necessary to say that Erling does what he wants. It is not true. Erling is always going to do what is good for him and for his club, Manchester City. When everyone is willing to make a change, it will be done."
Real, whilst being heavily linked, are determined to lure Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu. So far the Spanish side have twice failed to convince the Frenchman to make the move as he continues to commit to PSG. He will be available on a free this summer when his contract at the Parc des Princes expires.
