Haaland reveals he is targeting winning the Treble AGAIN with Man City

Erling Haaland has revealed that last year's exploits are acting as an inspiration to achieve even more at Manchester City.

The Norwegian obliterated goal scoring records by netting 52 times as he fired City towards an historic Treble last season, with the Premier League champions hopeful he will sign a new contract.

Haaland insisted he remains focused on City's current run of games, with Pep Guardiola's side facing Manchester United, Copenhagen and Liverpool in the space of a week, but talk remained around his future on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of City's Champions League second leg on Wednesday, a tie they lead 3-1, Haaland repeated a number of times that he is 'happy' at City despite acknowledging that it is hard to know what is around the corner.

He has once again been the key man for Pep Guardiola's side this season, who can still win all three of the trophies they lifted last campaign.

'You can think about it in two ways,' Haaland said. 'One thing, I came in, won it all, and the other thing, I'm 23 years old, won everything, and got a taste of how it is to win everything.

'How I work is that when I feel this I want to win it again. Easy as that.'

City are second in the Premier League table, one point behind Liverpool and one in front of Arsenal but having to still play both sides this campaign.

They are also on the verge of reaching the last eight of the Champions League, and have an FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle later this month.

Haaland was keen to make clear he remains content at the Etihad Stadium as Real Madrid continue to monitor the 23-year-old's future.

'I enjoy life. I enjoy life with my closest ones and I don't know what more to say,' he said.

'I am really happy, especially with the people that I am surrounded with. The manager, the directors, the board, they are a group of amazing people and I am really happy, I have to say.

'If I say this now it is probably going to be a massive headline. Tomorrow you never know what the future brings, but again I am happy. You can write this, but you also have to write everything I said right before.'

The forward was quick to dismiss any talk of a contract extension, with his current deal running until 2027.
