Harry Maguire and James Milner take part in the LIV Golf pro-am

James Milner and Harry Maguire were among the sporting stars to get their clubs out for LIV Golf's pro-am event on Thursday.

The pair are enjoying their time off ahead of returning to pre-season training with their respective clubs.

Maguire will return to Manchester United where his future is uncertain after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Milner meanwhile is preparing for life at his new club Brighton - as his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the month after a successful eight-year stint at Anfield.

But ahead of their return to training, they took part in the pro-am event ahead of this weekend's LIV Golf Andalucia event.

The Saudi breakaway's next event kicks off on Friday at the Valderrama golf course, which is in the resort of Sotogrande, San Roque.

Milner was shown teeing off in a video on LIV Golf's official Twitter account, while Maguire posed for a picture on the course with some of his friends.

They weren't the only footballers involved however, as Alvaro Morata also swapped the football pitch for the Spanish golf course.

The Atletico Madrid and former Chelsea striker who has often been questioned for his finishing ability on the field, showed no mistake on the golf course, putting in from medium range.

Former NFL players Donte Stallworth and Reggie Bush also took part in the event along with a host of other sporting stars.
