Havertz took part in a Q&A session with Arsenal fans. In this "Ask Me Anything" episode, the German forward answered fans' questions about Arsenal's training methods, his feelings about returning to Leverkusen, funny anecdotes with Gabriel, why he insists on wearing long-sleeved shirts, his childhood football idols, the joy of winning the Premier League title, and the profound impact Arteta has had on his career.

Fan: We've heard from former Arsenal players how professional the technical training is here. How does Arsenal's training differ from your previous clubs?
Havertz: Well, right now, because we have a game every three days, we can't do a lot of regular physical training. So the focus now isn't on improving physical fitness, but rather on the tactical side. I think understanding how the opponent plays, clearly defining our own style of play, knowing how to adapt, and how to improve on the last game are all crucial. This is largely similar to the clubs I played for before, but obviously, Arsenal's training quality is higher and the standards are more rigorous, which I think is the biggest difference.
Fan: Hi Kai, greetings from Leverkusen! How much do you enjoy returning to your former club and hometown whenever you get the chance?
Havertz: Yes, I love going back home. Last season, I had the privilege of returning to my hometown with Arsenal in the Champions League to face my former club Leverkusen, and that felt incredible. I love going back whenever I get the chance. My family still lives there, and my wife's family is also there; our roots are there. So whenever we have time, we go back home for a while, and it feels really great to be back there.
Fan: Hi Kai, if your phone was unlocked, which teammate would you least trust with it?
Havertz: I think it would probably be Gabriel. Because he's always trying to sneak my phone to play pranks on it, so I definitely wouldn't trust him with it.
Fan: Hi Kai, what are your top three video games of all time?
Havertz: Wow, that's a tough question to answer. The first one definitely has to be Fortnite. Playing Fortnite during lockdown, I don't think anything was better than that. For second place, I'd choose Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Fan: Hi Kai, can you tell us why you like to wear long-sleeved shirts so much during games? Is it a superstition or is there another reason? Wishing you all the best for the new season.
Havertz: Yes, it's a kind of superstition. I feel that long sleeves are the most comfortable attire for me on the field. I can't really explain why, but I feel uncomfortable when I look down and see my bare arms without long sleeves. I just developed this habit without realizing it. Even during the World Cup or summer training in Singapore in 45-degree heat, I still trained and played in long sleeves, and everyone laughed at me. But I just like it that way; there's always a voice in my head reminding me that I must wear long sleeves, so now I can't accept playing in short sleeves.
Fan: Who were your biggest football idols growing up?
Kai Havertz: I used to watch Messi play a lot when I was little, but obviously, I have no stylistic similarities with him. I also really liked Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Henry, and a certain German midfielder. There are too many favorite players; it's hard to pick just one, but they are all among them.
Fan: After years of coming up short, what does it feel like to finally win the Premier League title with the team?
Havertz: Well, that's truly the most wonderful feeling in the world. I played in the Premier League for six years, and in my sixth season, I finally won the Premier League title. Coming to England to play has always been your dream goal. To achieve this feat with this team and these teammates is extremely special to me.
Fan: My serious question is, what is the most precious jersey you've ever swapped in your career? The unserious question is, we assume you're a heavy internet addict like us, is that true?
Havertz: To answer the second question first, no, that's not true. The app I use the most is probably a video platform app because my son always wants to watch Miss Rachel's children's videos. Other than that, I barely use social media and don't really check it. I used to play a lot, but now I don't really like it. As for the serious question, what's the most precious swapped jersey? That's hard to choose because I have many top jerseys in my collection. I value emotional significance more, like teammates I've played alongside, and I've swapped jerseys with quite a few teammates. However, the best one in my collection is Ronaldo's jersey that I swapped when I played for Leverkusen against Juventus. Another very meaningful one is from my childhood idol Erik Meijer from my hometown team. I met him a few months ago, and he brought his jersey from when his team reached the cup final in 2004, which I watched as a young fan. These two jerseys hold the most weight in my heart.
Fan: Under Arteta, what new football concepts have you learned that you hadn't grasped in your brilliant career before?
Havertz: I've learned so much, too much to even list. The most important core, although I don't want to reveal too many tactical details, is the off-the-ball defensive pressing when we lose possession. Before this, even though I played with all my effort, if I lost a tackle, I wouldn't take it too much to heart. I think Mikel has completely reshaped me as a player. I deeply understand the importance of defensive responsibilities and have learned how to defend well and how to win every tackle.
Fan: Besides the Emirates Stadium, which stadium do you most enjoy playing in and why?
Havertz: In England, the Emirates Stadium is definitely the best. I also really like the Bernabéu, and I also like the BayArena, and Wembley Stadium is great too. But I'd still choose the BayArena; it's my favorite.
Thank you all very much for your questions. It was really fun answering them, and there were some great questions. I hope this has given you a little more insight into me. Thank you all, and I wish you all the best. Take care, and goodbye!
