Goal rounds up the top-scorers of the Premier League this season, with the likes of Hazard, Kane and Aguero competing for the award
The Premier League is well and truly underway, and the race to win the Golden Boot – awarded to the league's top-scorer – has begun.
Liverpool sensation Mohamed Salah will be looking to defend his title after a record-breaking haul of 32 goals last year nabbed him the prize, while Chelsea forward Eden Hazard currently leads the tally, followed closely behind by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.
Goal will keep you updated on the individual goal tallies for the highest-scoring Premier League strikers this season.
Premier League 2018-19 Top Scorers
Chelsea forward Hazard is a front-runner for this year's Golden Boot following his stellar start to the season, buoyed by an equally impressive World Cup campaign with Belgium in Russia where his side placed third.
The Belgian only managed to score 12 goals last season in the Premier League – although he missed a few weeks of the season due to injury – and could very well surpass last year's haul soon enough. Despite making no secret of his desires to fulfil his childhood dream of joining European giants Real Madrid, Hazard's form has been fruitful for a Blues side helmed by new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Manchester City's all-time top-scorer Aguero got the season underway with a hat-trick against Huddersfield in his second game, and should he avoid picking up another injury, could challenge Hazard for the Golden Boot, an award he last won during the 2014-15 season.
England captain Kane could be on track to win his third Premier League Golden Boot after missing out on it last season to Salah, and managed to break his August goal-scoring drought earlier this season.
Salah has had a disappointing start to the season so far in comparison to last season's heroics, bagging just three goals in Liverpool's opening eight matches. All three of Liverpool's first-choice forwards in Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been underwhelming in front of goal, additionally, with Mane's four goals a club high so far this season.
Brighton striker Glenn Murray has emerged as an unlikely Golden Boot striker with his five goals in the opening eight matches and could contend for an England call-up.
Brazilian wonderkid Richarlison has been in sensational form for Everton since arriving from Watford earlier in the summer, scoring a brace in his debut home game for the Toffees against Wolves.
*Correct as of October 8, 2018.
Who finished top in 2017-18?
Liverpool striker Salah scored 32 goals last season to win the Premier League Golden Boot, beating previous holder Kane to the top prize.

The word hazard in itself means trouble and the Hazard we're talking about is just like his name. Boy, please remain at Chelsea and become one of our LEGENDS in the likes of Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Wise. Please I beg you make us Chelsea fans in Africa happy.

“If he (Aguero) could avoid another injury” it’s the same story every year. He has been held back by injuries his whole career and still makes top 3 everytime. We’ll see if he can break that trend this season!
