Glenn Hoddle and Owen Hargreaves have heaped praise on Callum Hudson-Odoi following the youngster's impressive display in Chelsea's 5-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev on Thursday night.

The Blues, who held a 3-0 lead after last week's first leg at Stamford Bridge, eased into the quarter-finals with Hudson-Odoi netting their fifth goal of the night with a cool finish after being played through in the 78th minute.

And BT Sport pundits Hoddle and Hargreaves believe there are plenty more goals to come from the Englishman.

He’s going to be judged over a long period of time,' said former England boss Hoddle.

'He didn’t start the game too well but he showed a lot of maturity as a youngster. He kept sneaking in and then on the left hand side he got his goal. I think he’s going to be a goalscorer which is an added bonus.'

Hargreaves agreed with his colleague, saying: 'his end product for an 18-year-old is exceptional, remarkable.

Speaking on whether or not the winger will get more minutes at Chelsea, former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves said: 'If you’re good enough, you’re in.

'If he’s got to go somewhere else then so be it. But I’d prefer it if he could get his minutes at Chelsea. We need to see how he copes with a bad spell and how he comes out at the end of it. I think he’s a fantastic prospect.'
