Hearts of Oak Report Siwelele FC to FIFA Over Alleged Player Inducement

Accra Hearts of Oak have lodged an official complaint with FIFA against South African side Siwelele FC over the alleged illegal approach of their contracted forward, Hamza Issah.

The Phobians accuse Siwelele FC of engaging in talks with Issah while he remains under a valid contract in Accra. Hearts of Oak insist that no formal permission was granted for any negotiations, a situation they believe breaches FIFA’s regulations on the status and transfer of players.

However, it has also emerged that the initial contact was made by the player’s representatives, who reportedly reached out to the South African club without the prior knowledge or approval of Hearts of Oak. Despite this, the Ghanaian giants maintain that Siwelele FC should have verified Issah’s contractual status before entering into any form of discussions.

In their submission to FIFA, Hearts of Oak are seeking disciplinary action and possible sanctions, arguing that such conduct undermines contractual stability and fair competition. The club has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its assets and ensuring that due process is followed in all transfer dealings.

FIFA is expected to review the complaint and request responses from all parties involved before making a determination. Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have urged their supporters to remain calm as the matter is handled through the appropriate legal and administrative channels.
