Paul Scholes has bizarrely slammed Freddie Ljungberg for not donning a suit during his first match in charge of Arsenal as interim boss on Sunday.
The Arsenal Invincible, who oversaw the 2-2 draw at Norwich in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, wore a grey jumper and blue open-neck shirt with the club jacket on top.
And Scholes, a former rival of Ljungberg's at Manchester United, claims that his choice not to wear a suit shows he won't be the 'right man' for the job.
Scholes told Premier League Productions: 'You would think he'd be out in a suit to show a bit of proudness that he took the job.
'To me that's a great start - shirt and tie to show some discipline. I don't think he'll be the right man.'
Scholes' quotes have been made even more bizarre by the fact the former England and United midfielder wore a jumper and shirt during his first match in charge of Oldham.
Arsenal came from behind twice through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to earn a point at Carrow Road on the weekend.
The former Swedish international will be desperate to get his first victory as Arsenal boss when they take on Brighton at home on Thursday night.
Arsenal are currently winless in eight matches in all competitions - with their last victory coming against Vitoria at home in the Europa League on October 24.

What is the importance of wearing suit if your team is not winning. I would prefer a manager with trouser whose team is winning games than a manager wearing suits and his team is losing. What you have inside your head is important in coaching than what you have outside.

I don't understand Paul Scholes. Is he saying Arsenal drew the game because Freddie, their new coach didn't wear suit? Okay. Freddie, please wear suit and win the next game.

Paul Scholes's analysis of Luinberg not wearing a suit and so not suited for the job is too bare, bereft and bears no direct relationship to coaching and football. For him not to have won suit in his maiden match at Oldham also shows he's level of double standard - hypocritical

Pep & Klopp has stopped wearing it. Not a big issue here. 😏

Every retired English player wants to criticize coaches but when they get into coaching they disgrace themselves (like Garry Neville). Of what use are suits when the team isn't performing? I would rather have Lampard win trophies on even short-skirts than no trophies on suit.
