After the Champions League final defeat, Arsenal legend Henry stated that this season was "still a great season" for Arsenal.
In this final, Arsenal lost 3-4 to Paris Saint-Germain in the final penalty shootout. In regular time, Dembélé's goal cancelled out Havertz's early strike, and the two sides went to a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.
Henry defended his former club in an interview with CBS Sports, saying: "I'm hurting right now. It's very bitter to see my team fail. Many people don't want to accept failure, but I don't think this is a failure. To reach the Champions League final with the best teams in Europe and fight to a penalty shootout, as well as winning the Premier League, this is a great season for Arsenal Football Club."
He pointed out that Arsenal had contained the reigning champions well in the first half, but the game turned in the 64th minute when Mosquera fouled Kvaratskhelia in the box, and Dembélé subsequently converted the penalty.
Henry continued: "You just lost to a very good team, you pushed them to their limits. But failure can also help you grow, so feel it, but don't dwell on it, we'll be back."
He also specifically comforted Gabriel, who missed the crucial penalty, saying: "As long as you dare to take a penalty, I will always respect you. He played very well all season and tonight, he didn't shy away, he stepped up."
Henry also brought the Champions League trophy onto the pitch before the match and participated in the pre-match ceremony.
His former Arsenal teammate Keown also expressed support for Gabriel, calling him his "favorite Arsenal player" and believing that he performed excellently throughout the match and should not be questioned for missing the penalty, while emphasizing that he is one of the team's important leaders.
Keown also said that Arsenal has made significant progress under coach Arteta and believes that the pain the team gained from this defeat will become motivation: "This team still has a lot of potential, and they need to bring this energy to their next Champions League journey."

Bruno Fernandez winning the player of the season generated more headlines than Arsernal winning EPL

By the way, Arsenal had a great season but I disagree with people who think that Arsenal was great to deny PSG chances. Any team can do it. Even Getafe could do it.
We were basically a fatigued team, they were fresher and it showed. We couldn’t go toe to toe with them, we didn’t have the energy. We lost to the last kick of the competition, small margins mate.

Thats the difference between Asernal and Man U Legends, see Henry' s language and Man U legends when a team is not doing well or has lost a match ours would have torn the team to shreads bcoz they think they know more, let them learn from Henry other calm Legends who instead encourage the team even in defeat , thats the spirit

Give Arsenal credit for a great season. They achieved their No1 target- becoming EPL Champions. Only unbeaten team in the Champions League, and finalist in the Carabao Cup. If that’s not successful most teams have failed miserably. Face the facts everyone.

A sad lost but an understandable One. to me we didn't lost the game, we gave it away but the lesson learned was greater. Arsenal can still hold their heads high after successfully proving to be the best team in England and a force to be reckoned with ( a nightmare)around the world
25% ball possession for the English champions is embarrassing. Any team can play low block. Even Getafe can do what Arsenal did. It was embarrassing. Someone cannot dominate you 75% and you think that you tried.

This is how professional past players should talk and encourage their present players. At least this kind of support and encouragement will provoke them to take more risk to sacrifice their all in the field. If it were to be Man Utd so call legends ( Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Roy Keane, you would have held how Gabriel caused us the game and how Artetar was not bold enough to attack and how he shouldn't have stated a particular player and should have started the other. This is how good legend support their clubs.

I personally thought that Hincapie was outstanding yesterday, for he played with cramp in extra time ( having used 6 subs), Doue and Hakimi doubled up on him but he played great, a true warrior.!!!!

at least he didn't say Arsenal deserved to win like the idiot commentators on tv maybe if they came to play football and not park the bus they might of had a chance
True but maybe not, we played to our strengths. We lack creativity and penetration up top. Trossaud and Odegaard were anonymous, Saka was not at his best, and Gyrolokes was awful.
