Hertha Berlin 2-2 Leverkusen: Seoane's side drop into play-off spot with draw

Bayer Leverkusen dropped into the Bundesliga play off spot as they were only able to battle back to earn one point against Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

After a drab first-half then second period started in a frantic fashion as Hertha thought they had taken the lead only to find out that Suat Serdar was in an offside position before Karem Demirbay put Leverkusen in the lead with a brilliant free kick in the 49th minute.

Serdar then had better luck as he levelled things up seven minutes later for the home side. It got even better for the home side as substitute Marco Richter gave them the lead in the 74th minute.

However the lead would not last for long as Patrik Schick equalised for Leverkusen, with a goal of relief for the striker as he had scrapped the post earlier in the match. The goal would earn Leverkusen a point against Hertha, but it was not enough to push them up the table.
