Cagliari made the most of defensive errors to take all three points, but Andrea Belotti bagged a brace and almost snatched an acrobatic last-gasp Torino equaliser.
The Sardinians came back from an early Belotti penalty with Joao Pedro turning in from close range, then Giovanni Simeone twice pouncing on mistakes.
Belotti’s splendid half-volley from a tricky angle made it 3-2 and only a tough save prevented Il Gallo’s bicycle-kick from taking a point in stoppages.
