Roy Keane hit out at Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund for his lack of goals this season before the Danish striker scored the opening goal against Tottenham.
The 20-year-old has endured a difficult start to his Premier League career having netted just once in 20 appearances.
His lack of goals drew criticism from United legend Roy Keane before the match against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
'You can't keep waiting for players at Manchester United. He's missing a lot of clear cut chances' said Keane on Sky Sports.
However, Hojlund responded in style by giving United an early lead against Ange Postgecoglou's with a powerful strike into the top corner.
Some United fans on social media were quick to criticise Keane and other ex players for their 'negativity'.
One said: All of our ex players are so negative 24/7 Scholes Keane & GNEV all slating the players 24/7 Keane was literally giving Hojlund shit 30 mins ago and he’s scored did they even play for us like wtf'
A second wrote: 'Roy keane telling hojlund to stop joking around literally just made hojlund score and assist in 1 half'.
The goal has taken his tally across all competitions to seven having scored five in the Champions League before the Red Devils' early exit from the competitions

Keane is right. A supposed striker scoring 2goals in 21games for 72million pounds. Ridiculous. That is not our MU of Ferguson. Harland cost less, Bellingham cost less. Coach buying sick and low rated players. it is time for Radcliffe to change that as lover of MU.Over to you for better change
i stopped reading when u said Bellingham cost less🤣🤣

But excuse me Roy, Eyes, do you have them ? Cause what clear cut chance has Hojlund been missing when there are no chances being created for him ?

does Erick th has a pattern of playing football at man u because all the players they were disorganized no plan, style,IQ and no fighting spirit....I think this coach is not good enough to lead the team in the premier league....does he take his players for training and watch other teams like city, Liverpool and arsenal even spurs they play football?.

Blame the useless coach for lack of identity in the squad and not Hojlund. They team have no idea what system they’re playing so how can they actually win games yet alone score goals 😔
How what are you saying with lot of injuries that he had and these players are just playing shit no one pass to him

what I am see the Coach is not good enough, because why he pull Erikson,he should have pull Radford McTomnay or Casemero and push Bruno in front, because you see more of spures players with the ball, which is not good for Man United

more times than not criticisms should be taken as the one who's getting criticised the critique knows u can and should be doing better...so criticisms can have and should have a positive effect on the person who is getting criticised
