Jamie Vardy's latest triumph has reignited plans for a box office movie to be made about the Leicester star.
It comes after the Foxes made history once again by clinching the FA Cup for the first time in their history after 1-0 victory over Chelsea.
Their success comes five years after they shocked the world of football by winning the Premier League title - in just their second season back in the top flight.
The Daily Mirror have now reported that Los Angeles based Adrian Butchart has stepped up plans for a Hollywood movie to be made about Leicester and Vardy's miracle story.
Butchart, who wrote the first two movies in the 'Goal' film trilogy, has previously held talks with Vardy about doing a movie on his fairytale rise from non league factory worker to Premier League title winner.
He told the Mirror that he has monitored Vardy's 'record breaking achievement' in the FA Cup.
'We know Jamie to be among the world's best players and his continued success is inspirational to us and the film,' he said.
'We had been expecting to shoot the movie last year but sadly for our industry, as with so many others, the pandemic got in the way.
'Especially given that the story of Leicester's victory will require large crowd scenes for which we are keen to feature real fans rather than rely solely on computer generated imagery.'
Butchart added that they are looking forward to casting and getting production going as soon as guidelines 'safely allow'.
The screenwriter has previously confirmed considering Zac Effron and Robert Pattinson to play Vardy but One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, who is from South Yorkshire, is also in the frame.
Vardy joined Leicester in 2012 after previous spells with Stocksbridge Park Steels, Halifax and Fleetwood Town.
By appearing in Saturday's FA Cup final, Vardy became the first player to feature in all 13 rounds of competition.
The Foxes clinched the cup through Youri Tielemans' wonder goal, and now set their sights on finishing in the top four and making next season's Champions League.
Butchart lives in Hollywood and makes movies with his production company Knightsbridge Films.
Goal made more than £23million around the world and featured cameos from big names including Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham.
