Declan Rice was named as an unlikely nominee for FIFA's The Best award this year alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
Arsenal fans will be desperate to see Declan Rice beat a number of world-class players and Manchester City stars to win FIFA's The Best award this year. The Gunners completed a £105million deal to sign the England international from West Ham this summer.
Rice's efforts saw him be named Player of the Tournament and feature in the Team of the Tournament - scoring one goal and providing an assist in 11 appearances. A total of 12 players have been nominated to be crowned the best men’s player of 2023, with six Premier League-based players in the running including Rice.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has been nominated alongside former PSG teammate Lionel Messi - as the Argentine looks to win the award for the third time. The Best awards are FIFA’s official ceremony and serve as a rival to the Ballon d’Or, which nominated 30 players earlier this month including Jude Bellingham, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Martin Odegaard - all of whom missed out in The Best.
Here's how Arsenal fans can help Rice win the award ahead of some of the best players in the world this year...
Firstly, fans will need to login or register on FIFA.com. Then, you can select your top three nominees in each category with The Best Men's Player, The Best Women's Player, The Best FIFA Women's Coach, The Best FIFA Men's Coach, The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper, The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper and The FIFA Fan award all available to vote on.
Select the first nominee as your top choice - meaning you would place Rice as No.1 if you want him to win the award or think he is the best candidate to win. Then, simply submit your vote on the website.
The qualification period for the Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 runs from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023 - it does not include the FIFA World Cup 2022.
