How Ben Chilwell responded to Leicester City fans' FA Cup jibe

Ben Chilwell riled up a few Leicester City fans ahead of Chelsea's trip to the King Power Stadium and, after a few boos, the left-back rubbed salt into the wounds

Ben Chilwell responded to a chant from Leicester City supporters in excellent fashion. The 26-year-old was met with a chorus boos on a number of occasions during Chelsea's clash with the Foxes.

He is far from a fan favourite in the midlands having swapped the King Power Stadium for Stamford Bridge two-and-a-half-years ago. Less than a year later, Chilwell led the west Londoners to Wembley for the FA Cup final where he locked horns with his former club.

Brendan Rodgers' side waltzed away victorious after VAR ruled out a late equaliser from the left-back, who was left blushing as the referee cut his celebration short. Fast forward nearly two-years, Leicester fans were quick to remind Chilwell of his misfortunes by chanting: "Did you cry at Wembley?"

"It's kind of surreal," he told Parimatch. "I've been at Leicester since I was like 12 years old, so Leicester was my home. I was very comfortable there. I knew everyone: the manager, the players, the chefs, the cleaners.

"I knew everyone at the training ground, and I knew the city. So it was kind of difficult leaving that environment where I was so comfortable, but I knew for myself and my career that I needed a new challenge.

"And with Chelsea, what the club is, the brilliant players they have, the manager, and the trophies that the club wants to win year in, year out. For me, it was a no-brainer to come here and challenge myself again and push myself onto the next level and just keep improving.

"And, you know, it was like I said, it was a very sad day when I left Leicester. But then, the day I came here and met everyone, it was it was a great day for myself and my family, a very proud day."
