The 37-year-old latched onto a delightful pass from Casemiro during the first half to complete the turnaround for Erik ten Hag's men on Merseyside, netting his 700th club goal in the process.

With Ronaldo's career at United beyond this season uncertain, who knows if we will see one of the greatest of all time bring up another 100. With the World Cup in Qatar likely to be his last, there has often been talk Ronaldo could still continue playing at club level well into his 40s.
