Much has been made of Gareth Southgate's post-match comments about England's struggles to replace Kalvin Phillips, with the Trent Alexander-Arnold midfield experiment failing.
Southgate has struggled to find a replacement for Phillips since the Manchester City midfielder's drop off of form, and it's likely another man will now be tried for the Three Lions' final group game against Slovenia.
Declan Rice, however, struggled majorly against Denmark. The Arsenal man was off the pace, but is it possible that those around him are the issue?
According to Mail Sport's Mike Keegan on the latest episode of 'It's All Kicking Off!', there is a simple way to fix the midfield that just isn't clicking so far, despite Jude Bellingham's goal against Serbia.
There's also a clamour to see a wide player that hasn't taken to the field yet, with frustrations as the lack of functionality evident on the latest episode of the podcast.
When all is said and done, there is an agreement that the decision to field Alexander-Arnold in midfield in the first two games was a bizarre one, and that it certainly shouldn't be seen again.

That's how Manchester united play. If they score a goal they relax stopping to attack until opponents equalized which makes it easier for opponents to never fear them. If Manchester city score they continue pressing so that they don't allow opponents to see their weaknesses easily

grealish, can't contribute more than Palmer or saka but the problem is Arnold in the middle and Bellingham 10 since when unless u have two holding midfielders
