The Norwegian striker is closing in on Thierry Henry and has his sights set on Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero in the all-time hat-trick list.

Haaland hits seventh Premier League hat-trick

The Citizens’ No. 9 has now reached seven hat-tricks in the Premier League, just one shy of matching the legendary Frenchman who played for Arsenal. Additionally, the record for the most hat-tricks by a foreign striker is held by the iconic Argentine forward, who netted 12 during his time with the Sky Blues. Agüero also tops the overall list, including English players.

Haaland’s goal-scoring pace in the English top division is even more remarkable when considering the number of matches played so far. The Norwegian international has played 68 EPL matches, while Henry reached his tally over 258 games and Agüero across 275 appearances. Haaland averages a hat-trick in England roughly every 10 matches. It’s truly sensational!

The 24-year-old now has 10 hat-tricks as a Manchester City player, and this Saturday he surpassed the 100-match milestone with the Etihad Stadium squad, earning the admiration of the fans in a big way. In the overall Premier League hat-trick rankings, he has now tied with Wayne Rooney and can set his sights on Thierry Henry, Harry Kane, and Michael Owen, all of whom have eight hat-tricks. Robbie Fowler has nine and Alan Shearer 11.

All Haaland’s hat-tricks in the Premier League

Erling Haaland scored his first hat-trick in a Manchester City shirt during the 2022-23 season, which was also his debut year with the Citizens. It took him just four matches to achieve this milestone, leading City to a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace.

The sixth hat-trick, which actually turned into a four-goal haul, came in matchday 36 of the previous season. Once again, Wolverhampton fell victim to Haaland, as he scored four goals in a single match.

Most recently, Haaland recorded his seventh Premier League hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town, bringing him just one hat-trick shy of matching Thierry Henry’s record.
