How much FSG pay Boston Red Sox stars compared to Liverpool

FSG are the proud owners of two of the finest sports teams on the planet.

In football they are the parent company of Liverpool , the European champions who boast superstars such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker with a world-class manager in Jurgen Klopp to boot.

In baseball they control the Boston Red Sox, a team who are currently touted as the best team in Major League Baseball after taking home the World Series in 2018.

FSG have owned the Red Sox since 2002 , delivered their first World Series win in 86 years two years later and have since incredibly won the competition three more times.

The American business group have owned Liverpool since October 2010 and have taken the Reds from near collapse to one of the greatest sides in football having won the Champions League last term while maintaining an unbelievable title challenge and kicking off this campaign in the domestic competition with a perfect record after eight games.

Any reason behind this?

President and CEO of the Red Sox Sam Kennedy said in June 2016 that baseball matches earn more money than Liverpool's do.

He explained that baseball attracts about 73 million people to its games each year, more than all the other major sports in the US combined.

Top teams can have an average attendance of almost 50,000 people for more than 80 home games per season.

Baseball games can also last three to four hours, more than twice the duration of a football match.

"It's extremely popular," Kennedy said in an interview with The Irish Times in Boston.

The report also states "the Red Sox earn about 10 times what Liverpool achieve" in terms of match-day revenue.
