Huddersfield left-back Christopher Löwe could be out until the new year after being taken to hospital with suspected shoulder ligament damage sustained during their 1-1 draw with West Ham on Saturday.
Löwe fell awkwardly as he tried to vault over West Ham defender Fabian Balbuena approaching half-time at the John Smiths Stadium and was carried off on a stretcher after receiving lengthy treatment.
Terriers manager David Wagner confirmed afterwards: 'It's a situation nobody likes. It is nobody's fault even if I think it was a foul that we didn't get.
'Chris has a shoulder injury, it looks like a serious ligament injury. We have to wait. He is in hospital and he will be out for a few weeks.
'He was in great form and it's about supporting him as well as we can.
'At half-time, we had a small chat, you could see the shoulder wasn't as it should be and then he left for hospital.'
The 29-year-old German is a popular member of Huddersfield's team, making 82 appearances since signing from Kaiserslauten in 2016 and helping them stay in the Premier League last season.
