Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi played in a Sunday league match just 12 hours after the club's Champions League match with Bayern Munich.

The 19-year-old, who earns £120,000-per-week flew back after Chelsea's second leg defeat to the Bundesliga champions and laced up his boots for Saha FC against Lambeth Allstars FC.

The match was part of an anti-knife crime event held in Croydon, South London.

Hudson Odoi's presence was not enough for Saha FC to hold off Lambeth, as they lost the match 5-3.

However, people were shocked when the Chelsea star rocked up as one spectator said: 'Everyone recognised him and he was chatting to everyone.

'He knew a few of the boys from Saha FC so that's why he was there. People couldn't believe it.'

The winger thought he had his name on the scoresheet at the Allianz Arena, but his long-range stunner was chalked off after a VAR review said there was an offside. That match finished at 9:45pm in Munich.

By 10.30am the following day, he donned the No 11 shirt for Saha FC, who play in the Croydon Municipal Sunday Football Adult League, and helped kick off the pre-season friendly on a 4G pitch at Selhurst Arena.

Hudson-Odoi later took to Twitter and wrote: 'Pleasure coming down and taking kick off for the Anti Knife Crime campaign and Black Lives matter!!! Also good to see some familiar faces playing for a good cause in the community'

Opponents Lambeth Allstars tweeted: 'Thanks Callum Hudson-Odoi for coming out today, supporting our anti-knife crime BLM community event.'
