The eight-time winners eased past Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge earlier in January and now battle a Tigers outfit that narrowly ousted third-tier Rotherham courtesy of a last-gasp winner from hat-trick hero Tom Eaves.

Inconsistent Chelsea are looking for another positive result after following an easy win over Burnley with a late loss at Newcastle and frustrating draw against 10-man Arsenal.
Frank Lampard handed starts to the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Pedro and Ross Barkley against Forest and will no doubt be eager for some of his fringe players to prove their worth once more.
Hull currently sit in a mid-table position in the Championship, though have suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Fulham and Derby while having several defenders out of action.
Lampard will hope to have Reece James (knee) fit for the trip to east Yorkshire, while it remains to be seen how much time striker Tammy Abraham will miss as a result of the ankle issue he sustained against Arsenal.

Yeah this is a typical Chelsea thing of not being proactive enough to sign players early enough. It's frustrating to see this happen in every transfer window. We are making too many last minute panic buys.
Yeah unless they're bringing in Jadon Sancho after all this trouble or Hakim Ziyech as well as a top left back and a rotational striker near or on Tammy level they fail....

Bro we will beat Hull, but issue is it just papers over the cracks. We cant use that as a bounce back cos it's not levels to opposition we face in the league. This period will be the worst of our season now, maybe worst than the december period and on top of it we haven't even signed anyone when ideally we need at least 2 signings....

I hope you are right. Sorry, watching the recent games has really given me depression not because we lost but because the attitude of the players was poor particularly when we defend. I want these boys to give us a strong reaction.

Tonight we saw 2 players that could galvanise our season should the club have ambition and sign them, Adam Traore and Raul Jimenez should be high on the clubs radar but its Chelsea so the scouts probably dont even know who they are judging off of our terrible past few windows signing...
