A product of Fluminense, João Pedro was the tormentor of his former club in the World Cup semi-final. After scoring both goals for Chelsea in the 2-0 victory, the striker said how he felt about hurting the team he was trained for. He did not celebrate either goal.
João Pedro, to DAZN: I'm happy to score the first goal, but at the same time this championship was very important for them [Fluminense], I can't just apologize, but I'm a professional, I'm paid to score goals and today I was very happy to score the goals.
The striker acknowledged the mixed feelings about being the tormentor of his former club . Speaking to CazéTV, he apologized to the Tricolor fans and said he hopes to return to Fluminense one day.
João Pedro: A mix of feelings. I was happy to score the first and second goals for Chelsea, but I also felt sad when I met players and members of Flu who worked with me, others who came from the youth team and were living a special moment. Talking to them and seeing their sadness is difficult because they have dreams, just like I did when I was here. I have to do my job and I scored two goals today.
I just want to apologize. I know this tournament was important to them, but it's important to us too. It's part of football. It didn't go the way they wanted, but that's how it is: if one side is going to cry, unfortunately... I have to keep working, I hope to be able to come back one day. We can't control the future, but the fans know how much I love Flu, I try to watch some games, but I'm happy to see everyone again.

Arsenal must learn from Chelsea, because they know how to win European and big trophies.

Gotta love how Chelsea have gone about their business this transfer window. Unlike Arsenal who are slow, and going after box office personnel; Chelsea have bought cleverly players who are deadly, hungry and or full of potential.

Chelsea really played a tight game. In fact, their perfomances at the CWC are at a higher level than their displays in the EPL last season.
