Tragic to see Jesse go from Messi Lingard to the biggest footballing meme of 2019 (and maybe even 2020). Yes, he’s not good enough to play for United. Yes, he hasn’t scored or assisted in the premier league in a year. But is he the one who deserves to become a meme? Or should the blame fall on the man who’s decided to constantly throw him in games even after showing time after time again that he’s not good enough? I mean the guy came out and talked about the things he’s been struggling with in his personal life and yet the manager hasn’t decided to give him a month off to deal with his personal issues... I don’t mean for this to come off as an attack on Ole, but the fact of the matter is this: if a player isn’t good enough and the manager keeps playing him, it’s not the player’s fault, it’s the one who picks him. I hope Jesse gets a move to a new team in a league where he can have a fresh start and a better chance of being the best player he can be. Good luck Jesse. True United fans will remember the good parts.
