Ian Holloway resigns as Grimsby manager after 12 months in charge

Ian Holloway has resigned as manager of League Two club Grimsby after a year in charge.

The 57-year-old made the announcement on his Twitter feed and cited the imminent arrival of new owners at Blundell Park as the reason for his decision.

Holloway leaves Grimsby 20th in League Two, six points above the relegation zone.
