AC Milan hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic has come to the defense of an old teammate this week.
The former Sweden forward has moved to speak in favor of former teammate Sandro Tonali.
The Newcastle United and ex-Milan midfielder is implicated in an alleged gambling bust.
There is a suggestion that Tonali may have been placing bets on football and even his own team.
Speaking at the Festival dello Sport, Ibra stated: “I know little about this story, I had never noticed anything strange about him.
"But you shouldn't judge before you don't know everything. If he really is sick of gambling you have to help him because it's like a drug.
“I too have played at the casino because everyone does what he wants with his money. But you have to understand the situation."
