Ilkay Gundogan is a shock target for Galatasaray, according to a report.
Gundogan, 31, has been a key feature in Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team in recent years, but has less than a year remaining on his contract at the Etihad.
According to The Sun, the Turkish giants are keen to snap up the midfielder at the end of his deal, with the German international having previously make his desire to play in the country clear.
Gundogan reportedly hasn't ruled out putting pen to paper on a new deal at City, though he is yet to agree terms with the club.
He previously stated he would like to play in either Turkey - his country of descent - or the US before he retires.
He still has plenty to offer at City, having played 13 times for them in all competitions this season already.
He was Pep Guardiola's first signing as City manager, joining the club in 2016 for £20million from Borussia Dortmund, and has scored 51 goals for the side in 267 appearances in total.
He has won four Premier League titles during his six years in Manchester, as well as four League Cups and an FA Cup.
Galatasaray, meanwhile, are currently seventh in the Turkish Super Lig after a disappointing start to the season.
They finished 13th in the table last campaign after ending the 2020/21 season runners up, and are keen to add to their squad as they look to move back to the top of the Turkish football pyramid.

Man City would be mad to let him go now. He should at least play 3-4 years more at Manchester
