Manchester City fans will have the opportunity to relive some of the club’s most iconic moments and celebrate its legendary players during the top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal on Wednesday 26 April.
The one-off change was the result of online polls ran by Club partner socios.com, who asked $CITY Fan Token holders to determine four winning designs, choosing key figures from our players and an iconic goal moment.
The winning quartet included, Sergio Aguero, Colin Bell, Vincent Kompany and the goal that made history back in 2012, Sergio Aguero's 93:20.
In a stadium first and for one game only, four designs will replace the traditional corner flags, giving fans a chance to reminisce about some of the club’s most unforgettable moments.
A number of lucky token holders who voted on the winning design, were randomly chosen by Socios.com and invited to the game to see the corner flags.
This adds an extra level of excitement and engagement for the fans, who have the opportunity to see their choices come to life in a tangible way.
This move is not only a celebration of Manchester City’s rich history but also a testament to the club’s commitment to fan engagement.
By involving fans in the decision-making process, the club is able to create a more inclusive and interactive experience for supporters.
It also demonstrates the potential of blockchain technology and fan tokens to revolutionize fan engagement in sports.
