FIFA president Gianni Infantino has claimed that a hypothetical unification of Major League Soccer and Liga MX would create the best league in the world.
Infantino was speaking in a press conference after FIFA's board meeting on Friday.
"The potential of the US and Mexico, each one separately, is enormous, but if they could come together, it would be incredible," Infantino said.
"If we want clubs to be at the highest level in the world not only in Europe, then we should have new ideas."
The US, Canada and Mexico are working on a proposal to host the 2026 World Cup between the three nations.

Infantino is only concern about money. people in Brazil,Mexico,Argentina etc worship soccer. The amount of love, support and commitment they have for soccer is immense. However,in the US soccer is considered as a job.they are more interested in Rugby π and Basketball π. You are playing with fire π₯ Infantino, forget it.

Money buys everything. FIFA has never been able placing a football lover at its top. I think wenger should be considered for the job.

FIFA must just leave the other continent to run smoothly as they are more focused in Europe and nothin else. He must merge Laliga, Premier League and farmers league in France π«π·

there are so many teams in the MLS you could say that it is an overcrowded league...now if you add liga MX into that then it is going to be even more hectic...

could also be the greatest blunder in the world.....MLS is too crowded in the first place...now imagine adding the Mexican teams it will be so hectic...I'm just surprised that for marketing reasons he didn't try to merge MLS with the premier league[Crylaugh][Crylaugh]

Travel is already bad enough because the united States is so big, so adding travel to mexico would be awful, especially in a long season. Plus it might not even work out so there's no point in risking it.
