Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain allowed Juventus to conquer San Siro, end Inter’s perfect start and take the top of the table in a spectacular Derby d’Italia.
Match Reports
Gonzalo Higuain sent Juventus top of Serie A - and handed Antonio Conte his first league defeat as Inter boss - as the reigning champions secured a 2-1 victory at San Siro.
Higuain started on the bench but the experienced striker once more came up with the goods for Maurizio Sarri, who he has played under at Napoli and Chelsea, guiding home the winner 10 minutes from time.
Paulo Dybala was deployed in the first XI at his compatriot's expense and took just four minutes to break the Derby d'Italia deadlock, but Lautaro Martinez equalised from the penalty spot after a handball by Matthijs de Ligt.
Although Inter rattled the post through a deflected Matias Vecino shot, a sweeping Juve move ended with Rodrigo Bentancur teeing up fellow replacement Higuain to ensure the Bianconeri remain the only unbeaten side in Italy's top tier.

4' GOAL! Inter 0-1 Juventus (Dybala)
JUVENTUS TAKE THE LEAD EARLY ON! 1-0! Pjanic wins back possession on the halfway line, before dinking a perfect throughball into the path of Dybala. The Argentine is closely marked by Skriniar, but Dybala surprisingly goes for an early shot from a tight angle that rifles across Handanovic and into the far corner from just inside the box! This game's burst into life with a brilliant finish!
8' CLOSE! Ronaldo hits the beam
Ronaldo hits the bar! Inter are under pressure early on! This time Ronaldo drifts inside from the left-wing and rides a few challenges, before firing a powerful shot that just clips the bar from the edge of the area!
18' Penalty Goal! Inter 1-1 Juventus (Lautaro)
Penalty to Inter! Barella swings in another cross and it appears as though de Ligt glanced it clear with his arm!
INTER EQUALISE! 1-1! Martinez steps up and confidently dispatches the spot-kick into the bottom left corner beyond Szczesny's despairing dive.
43' OFFSIDE! Ronaldo's goal disallowed
Juventus have a goal disallowed! Ronaldo and Dybala combine to great effect again, this time a clever one-two sets Ronaldo clean through on goal where he fires calmly past Handanovic. However, the linesman has his flag up and despite the celebrations, the goal won't stand!
80' GOAL! Inter 1-2 Juventus (Higuain)
Juventus take the lead! 2-1! A quick, one-touch move ends with Bentancur slipping Higuain through on goal with a delightful pass and the striker holds off a defender before slotting his finish underneath Handanovic! A fine team goal!

Cristiano Ronaldo played his best game of this season so far, his defense and attack was great, and he could have scored twice or a hat-trick today. The combination between Ronaldo and Dybala has been great so far, I hope they keep playing like this. If Juve plays like this every game, they can challenge any team this season.

Speaking as a neutral watching the game, I thought Ronaldo was fantastic 1st half but 2nd half he was non existent. I know he has his own cult fandom that will say differently but I just think at this stage you guys are overrating his performance. 1st half he was a star but 2nd match I forgot he was playing at times. Even Bentancur was more involved in the game 2nd half and he was a sub... be fair with judgement please, movement off the ball was great and impeccable 1st half but 2nd half was a collective effort from Juve, inter had the better opportunities 2nd half but bottled them...

Serie A is always a 2 horse race.... till January when Juve contact the trophy makers to erect their name into the trophy... honestly someone told me recently to go check out the Serie A and all I'll say is I can see why English teams dominated Europe last year. The amount of space players are afforded in the league is insane, English football wouldnt even give you the time to turn with the ball and some of the players were turning and doing flicks and all sorts. I have to say though that Lautaro guy is the real deal, insane amount of talent, I can see a rich club coming in for him....
