Interest continues to increase in Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa across Europe but according to a report from Tuttosport, he would prefer to continue playing his football in his native Italy.
Inter and Juventus are the two main clubs competing for Chiesa’s signature. Juventus could use Marko Pjaca in a deal for Chiesa which means that Juventus could perhaps be considered ahead based on how easy they could get a deal done. However, Chiesa would have far more of a chance at being a starting player at Inter which could swing things in favour of the Nerazzurri.
Despite this, Chiesa’s former Viola teammate Federico Bernardeschi is an example of a player who arrived in Turin in a similar situation but with some hard work has earned himself a starting role in Max Allegri’s side. The 21-year-old has scored twice and assisted four goals across 10 games across all competitions this campaign and is under contract in Florence until June 2022.
