Inter Milan coach Inzaghi: Our big objective is the Scudetto

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi says the Scudetto is their target this season.

Inter are currently spending their preseason across Asia.

"It was a great season where we saw growth on the European level, because reaching the Final doesn't happen every year. It had been 12 years since Inter got this far, so that is something to be proud of," Inzaghi told Soccerking.

“Without doubt, we want to confirm our European status, albeit knowing it will be very difficult. The big objective for this club is the Scudetto. We are trying to prepare and reinforce in the best possible way. We hope to win the title."

On Serie A's success in Europe last season, Inzaghi stated: “Aside from the usual clichés about Catenaccio, I'd say Italian football has improved a great deal, which is why we saw Inter, Roma and Fiorentina all reach the Finals of their respective UEFA club competitions.

“In Serie A there are 20 teams, with 10 of them playing three at the back and the other 10 with a four-man defence. The 3-5-2 gave me a lot of guarantees, but coaches are ready for anything and my first season at Lazio had four at the back."
