Inter Milan defender Dumfries hails Van Dijk influence on Holland squad

Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries is enjoying his World Cup experience with Holland.

The Dutch won their opening game against Senegal this week.

Dumfries said, “This is a very special group.

“You notice it during dinner, for example.

“The places at the table change constantly because everyone gets along with everyone, it doesn't matter who you sit with.

“And this unity can be fundamental for us."

Dumfries also praised the impact of Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

“Virgil van Dijk is one of the best, if not the best defender in the world.

“And he also brings his enormous presence. Virgil is fundamental to this group."
