I think it's because they felt the back was secured so they risked everything and pushed forward. In this game, Josè literally played a five back defence which made the attackers feel less worried about opponent threats.

Fantastic game. Heartening to see Man Utd play in truly all out attacking game today. Fair result at the end. Way to go. Might have thought of bringing Mata in place of Rojo. More organised mid field was needed at that juncture. Pogba was called in last 10 mins but could not stamp his authority. Fellaini should have come in for Lingard then.Martial/Rashford/Lingard up front really brings lots of energy. Let's hope for Fred to get a game next soon.
