During the second half of England's 2-1 Euro 2024 final defeat by Spain, Bellingham 'lost it' and got 'frustrated' at Southgate, according to ESPN's Mark Ogden.

New footage has emerged of Bellingham approaching his manager and shouting at him after Nico Williams missed a chance from the edge of the box after 56 minutes.

Ogden claimed that Bellingham had been urging Southgate to 'change something' and, minutes later, Harry Kane was taken off for Ollie Watkins.

In the video, Bellingham can be seen screaming towards the bench as he stalked up the sideline before turning to confront Southgate in passing.

The Three Lions had their silverware dream brought to a crushing end as Spain ran out 2-1 victors in Berlin to claim victory inside 90 minutes.

Bellingham endured a difficult tournament on a personal level and looked to be struggling with fatigue in the final as Spain dominated the midfield battle in the second half.

The 21-year-old went into the tournament off the back of a stunning first season at Real Madrid that ended with three trophies including the Champions League and was one of the key players in England's team.

Kane kept his starting role upfront by Southgate despite recent underwhelming performances but was hauled off with 30 minutes remaining as Watkins made his introduction.

Bellingham vented his frustration towards the England boss for not making the change earlier as Kane proved ineffective up against Spain's robust defence that was broken only once as Cole Palmer equalised in the second half.

Outlining Bellingham's angry exchange with Southgate, Ogden explained: 'Jude Bellingham was getting frustrated, I don't know if it came across on camera.

'Just before Kane was taken off, Bellingham lost it with Gareth Southgate on the side of the pitch as if to say "change something, do something" and Kane was taken off.

'As soon as Kane went off and Watkins came on and then Cole Palmer, England played so much better,' he added.

The England and Madrid star was gutted at the final whistle as Spain celebrated their triumph and the Three Lions rued another missed opportunity to lift a first major men's title since 1966.

He stormed towards the bench and kicked a drinks cooler before sitting down to take stock of his emotions.

Southgate has since resigned from his post as England manager after eight years in charge.

Southgate was unable to end England's curse which has been running ever since they lifted the 1966 World Cup.

He is the only manager to lead the Three Lions to a major tournament final besides Sir Alf Ramsey - and did it twice at consecutive Euros. He also reached a World Cup semi-final and quarter-final.

Since 1966 England had only won seven knockout games until Southgate arrived across 25 tournaments.

In four tournaments across eight years, Southgate led them to nine knockout wins and a first major tournament final on foreign soil.
