VAR has been used in a Clasico for the first time ever, with Luis Suarez winning and converting a penalty after being fouled in the box by Raphael Varane.
It wasn't initially seen by referee Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez, but he consulted VAR and pointed to the spot, with the Uruguayan firing past Thibaut Courtois to make it 2-0 in the 30th minute.
"It's a clear penalty," MARCA's refereeing expert Andujar Oliver said on Radio MARCA, when discussing the incident.
The use of VAR was quick, with Sanchez Martinez needing just a few seconds to come to a decision.
