New Balance have revealed Liverpool's home kit for the 2019/20 season and have gone for a retro design.

The launch took place at 9am on Thursday and followed the Reds' competent 4-1 win over Porto on Wednesday evening.

Jurgen Klopp's team will now face Barcelona in a Champions League semi-final showdown and this is the kit they will be wearing next season.

The red, pinstriped kit is a throwback to Liverpool's 1984 European Cup winning shirt.

Brazilian international Alisson also appears in the clip wearing the black goalkeeper jersey, with a gold trim.

The goalkeeper is set to switch from his current No.13 to No.1 at the beginning of 2019-20.

Alisson inherits the iconic number from fellow stopper Loris Karius, who is currently on a two-year loan with Besiktas.

It marks the final home strip of New Balance's current deal as Liverpool's kit manufacturers, with rumours continuing about who could take over.

Nike have been mentioned, but Liverpool could yet remain with the Boston-based sports company, who took over from Warrior in 2015.

The New Balance deal is worth around £45m per season to Liverpool , an amount which is expected to be dwarfed by the next contract , likely to be one of, if not the, biggest in English football history.

However, the American sports brand have proven to be popular suppliers among fans, with each of the last two home kits being some of the most popular Liverpool strips of all time .
