Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has explained the reason behind Fabinho's goal celebration against Manchester City on Sunday.
After the game, which ended in a 3-1 win for Liverpool, in a pitchside interview by Sky Sports, Klopp revealed why Fabinho was signalling to an imaginary watch on his wrist.
The German boss told Jamie Carragher and Geoff Shreeves that the other players explained the celebration to him in the dressing room, and that it was the Brazil international's way of saying it was about time he scored a goal.
Klopp said: "They [the players] told me he pointed at his watch to celebrate. It was time for him to score and he did, it was a really good goal."
It was the second time the 26-year-old has added his name to the scoresheet for the Reds since his move from Monaco in 2018.
