James, Fofana, Kante, Gallagher - Chelsea injury news before Manchester United showdown

  /  autty

Graham Potter will be without three long-term injury absentees when Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon (5.30pm), but there is some brighter news for the Blues regarding Conor Gallagher and his recent illness.

Gallagher was forced off in midweek when Chelsea were held to a goalless draw vs Brentford - although he has trained in the build-up to the game. Potter confirmed Reece James, Wesley Fofana (both knee) and N'Golo Kante (hamstring) remain on the side-lines during his latest pre-match press conference.

However, the former Brighton manager is hopeful that Gallagher could recover in time to play some part against United, despite his premature withdrawal at Brentford. Here is the state of play with injuries at Chelsea with eyes locked on this impending Premier League showdown.
