James Rodriguez has emerged as one of the big stories this January transfer window.
The on-loan Bayern Munich man has been heavily linked with a move to north London with either Arsenal or Tottenham .
Reports have suggested the Colombian has not closed the door on a successful return to Real Madrid as his future remains up in the air.
But according to former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, rumours linking Jose Mourinho with a return to the Bernabeu could prevent Rodriguez from going back to Spain.
The former Manchester United boss would not provide a good style of play for Rodriguez, and he could be forced to look elsewhere if he does secure a shock return to the La Liga giants.
"There'll be a lot of changes [at Madrid] this summer.
"There are many rumours about Jose Mourinho being re-appointed, and if that happens I don't think James will go back," Calderon told Sport Bild .
Bayern have a purchase option on Rodriguez, but it remains unclear if it will be activated as Premier League clubs consider offering him an early escape route this transfer window.

I dont understand why bringing in Mourinho should take Rodriguez away from Madrid..! James would be the perfect no.10 in Mourinho's style of Madrid..! He would operate like Ozil..! In a 2 defesive midfielder system with Llorente and Kroos..! I would love to see Rodriguez in Madrid..! May be Isco should be concerned because Mourinho doesn't adapt to a ball holding midfielder..!
