Chelsea right-back James revealed in an interview with GQ magazine that England coach Tuchel specifically asked him about Chelsea's experience of winning the Club World Cup last summer.
"Yes, we talked about the camp arrangements at the time, what measures worked well, what didn't, and details such as the location of the training camp," James said.
"Last summer, I often thought about the World Cup: the local climate, pitch conditions, and turf conditions. Going to the United States to play in the middle of summer is already tough. We have been playing in England with a mild climate for many years, so adapting to the environment a year in advance will benefit me greatly in this tournament."
James said: "Tuchel is one of the best coaches in the world. In my opinion, he has won all the top honors in major competitions and has coached many world-class teams. I trust him and recognize his tactical philosophy and team-building ideas."
