Manchester City look likely to sell prodigious talent Jayden Braaf only a year after the youngster committed his long-term future to the club.
Sportsmail understands that a breakdown in communication between the club and the winger has led to Braaf's future lying away from the Etihad Stadium.
Braaf's ability has drawn comparisons with former City academy graduate Jadon Sancho but has found himself out of the Under-23 team despite being fully fit.
The 18-year-old, who joined from PSV Eindhoven two seasons ago, had expected to be regularly training with Pep Guardiola's by now but appearances in those sessions have been fleeting.
Guardiola and academy staff often reference patience and the 'respect' younger players show to the star-studded senior group. The likes of Tommy Doyle and Cole Palmer are frequently involved.
Braaf won the Under-23 Players' Player of the Year in July and was involved as City lifted the FA Youth Cup for the first time in over a decade.
His time in Manchester appears as if it is drawing to a close, however, with several Bundesliga clubs and teams in Holland following his situation.
City are open to a loan move next month, although a permanent switch abroad seems more probable. A fee of around £8million has been mooted and City would look to insert a buy-back clause.
