Tottenham were left seriously aggrieved having had a first half equaliser chalked off due to offside - a decision pundit Jermaine Jenas described as an 'absolute shocker'.
Hirving Lozano gave PSV an early lead but Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez rifled into the bottom corner soon after and he wheeled off in celebration.
But the linesman quickly raised his flag citing Harry Kane in an offside positon but with the Englishman not involved in the piece of play, Mauricio Pochettino and his bench were left dumbfounded at the dreadful decision.
'It’s an absolute shocker from the officials!' Jenas began.
'I can’t see any reason why the linesman has his flag up there. As Davidson Sanchez scores, the only thing I can think of is he thinks Harry Kane is in an offside position.
'But he’s not in the line of the ball he is behind the goalkeeper. It goes nowhere near Harry Kane, it’s a shocker!
'There are certain things you can go, 'well, it’s tight’, but with that many officials, you can’t be getting those wrong.'
Pochettino's side made the trip to Eindhoven knowing anything less than three points would all but extinguish hopes of reaching the knockout stages of this season's Champions League.
Defeats against Inter Milan and Barcelona meant they were pointless, like their Dutch hosts, and the decision to chalk of the goal could have had catastrophic consequences.
In the end it galvanised the north London side as they channeled that disappointment to level before the break through Lucas Moura, who netted his first Champions League goal for the club.
Kane then had another big say as he made it 2-1 just before the hour mark as the Premier League side's class eventually shone through.

Brave and correct decision. If it wasn't flagged offside Kane would have said he got a touch on it

But no one cares if decisions are shockingly wrong as long as they are made quickly! Insane.

He¿ll never ever make it as a respected pundit as he¿s far too biased. Let¿s his emotions get in the way too much

If Kane wasn't interfering with play, what was he doing poaching on the goal line?

Jenas is the worst pundit on TV. Boring & tries too hard to be controversial

Remember when he almost started crying after the FA Cup semi final when he kept going on about Spurs having more chances.

Kane is stood right next to the guy on the line, so he has to be interfering with play, its hardly a shocker no mater how you look at it.

There is only one opposition player behind him when the ball comes forward. Normally this would be the goalkeeper, but on this occasion it's a defender. It is irrelevant wether it's a defender of a GK, it's still only one man. He would therefore be classed as offside. The question is, did he interfere with play or not!!

Would have stood if Kane hadnt tried to claim it.

Oof. Hate to say it but those refs might have killed Tottenhams knockout stage hopes.
