Manchester City goalscorer Gabriel Jesus said he will be watching Premier League rivals Liverpool in action against Manchester United on Sunday.
Jesus opened the scoring for City at Crystal Palace as they narrowed the gap in the Premier League title race to five points ahead of Liverpool's trip to Old Trafford.
When asked if he will be watching to see if Liverpool can keep up their 100 per cent start to the season, Jesus told Sky Sports: "I think so!
"I talk to Firmino and Fabinho last week. I said to them 'both all the best.'"
When asked if that sentiment doesn't apply at Old Trafford, Jesus joked: "Yeah, please!"
Reflecting on the title race, Jesus said: "This season I think it will be the same [every game] because Liverpool are eight points in front of us. We have to try to win every game."
Jesus' header at Palace was his 50th goal for City, and the striker explained how hard work has helped him become prolific in front of goal under Pep Guardiola.
"I'm very happy," he explained.
"Last season I had a difficult start to the season, so this is going to be different, I work hard and focus on the goal all the time so that's why I score a lot.
"All my life i'm working hard on my pitch, when I go onto the pitch I forget everything outside. That helps me a lot."

The media in England should get a special prize for the work they’ve done on the Liverpool v United game. This matchup is so one sided that these teams should be ashamed of themselves for walking out on the same football pitch together. It is a joke of an affair and the media’s attempt at making so many stories and player match up is now laughable. Who will win ? Will your team win , what is the full time score and who will score first. I for one will not be watching this crazy ball game as I will spend my time in the fruit-full exercise of trying to capture the ’ red dot ’ with my cat.
