Jesus' strict mum bans his son from kissing & going public with his girlfriend

Manchester City hot-shot Gabriel Jesus is risking the wrath of his strict mum – by going public with a girlfriend for the first time. He’s been in Brazil during the international break and uploaded a snap of him larking about with his new lover.

The pair posed with their tongues out for the camera and the player accompanied the snap with a heart-shaped emoji.

Gabriel had been linked to a Brazilian pop star who was said to be secretly dating the player. Ludmilla Oliveira da Silva is a singer, songwriter and one of Brazil’s top female artists.

Rumours were that the pair had been seeing each other on-and-off since July last year. But in an interview in May, the music star dismissed any involvement with Gabriel and said they were pals. And now the striker has gone public with his dark-haired beauty.

He travelled back to the UK on Sunday and mum Vera will no doubt be keen to know what he’s been up to. She stays with him in the north-west of England along with an elder brother for much of the year so he doesn’t get lonely.

And she has a "no snogging" rule on Wags who want to date the 22-year-old sensation.

Formidable Vera said in an interview in Brazil: “Girlfriends have to live by my rules, and there'll be no heavy kissing. Staying over, only once in a while.

“I will never accept that my son disrespects the daughters of others. No son of mine is going to get someone else's daughter pregnant. I demand respect because I raised all three of them on my own, with the help of God.”

Vera also controls what goes on his plate because the Brazil star suffers from stomach cramps which can affect his performance on the pitch if he eats the wrong grub.

Gabriel calls him his mum a ‘woman warrior’ after she brought him and his brothers and sister up on a tough favela in Sao Paulo while working as a cleaner.

His six-figure salary is controlled by his mum who rations his cash so he’s not tempted to fritter away his monster wages.

In an interview with Yahoo Brazil, Gabriel's older brother Caique said that their mother controls the star's salary. He also stated that nightclubs, boozing and smoking are also banned."

Caique said: “But Gabriel was never that interested in partying. His thing is barbecues with his family.”

Self-confessed mummy's boy Gabriel has a tattoo on his body which reads: “Every step I make, every road I take, every path I choose, your hand will guide me, Vera Lucia.”

The player explained: “The tattoo I had done, I didn't tell her that I was going to do it, but when I got home, my mother was much calmer when she saw that her name was on it.

“She liked it more than I did, so she didn't scold me too much.”

He eats daily shake of yoghurt, bananas and oats, made by Vera's which she claims helps stave off her son's intestinal cramps, which ‘run in the family’.
