Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has claimed that a top four finish is Newcastle's to lose.
Eddie Howe's side have been incredibly resilient in defence this season, and have gone 15 games unbeaten in the Premier League following their goalless draw against Crystal Palace.
Newcastle are currently in third place and Hasselbaink is confident that they can secure Champions League qualification, especially with Liverpool and Chelsea both struggling for consistency.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Hasselbaink said: It's Newcastle's to lose. Chelsea are in a transition. Liverpool can go ten games unbeaten. Liverpool have a bigger chance than Chelsea but if they can keep on getting clean sheets they will win matches. It's there to lose with Newcastle.'
Former Newcastle player Kieron Dyer believes that Eddie Howe's side will finish in the top four.
Dyer described Tottenham as 'hit and miss' and stated that there is a hugely positive feeling around Newcastle at present.
Dyer said: 'Going for Champions League football, semi-final of a cup. I went up there for the Chelsea game, and it was like the days of Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan. The fans have got a club they can love again.
'I'm confident (of top four). Tottenham are too hit and miss and Liverpool and Chelsea are in transition. It's all in Newcastle's hands.'
Newcastle are incredibly difficult to play against, with Howe's side defending diligently.
It was evident against Palace, however, that they do need to be more clinical in front of goal at times.
Newcastle's next two games are in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup as they take on Southampton.
They will return to league action early next month with a home fixture against West Ham.

Anyway, the season is still fresh, but I don't think man Utd will qualify for even Europa Conference league. They had been lucky to play relegation battling teams in recent times, but they might soon get to where they belong among Liverpool and Chelsea. This is just the fair reality. They look too ordinary without Christiano.
Look who is talking , fail club fans.

arsenal fans is not the one to tell people their position, just because you manage to be in top 4 spot in 5 season.

which relegation teams are you referring to sir? Just appreciate when the team is doing well, Arsenal usually messy up in second round of the league. As you have stated the league is still fresh with about 19 more games to play for...
You have played all your games against relegation threatening teams
