Joao Pedro gets off the mark in pre-season as Chelsea triumph 3-0 in behind-closed-doors friendly

Chelsea continued their positive start to pre-season under Xabi Alonso - beating League One Bromley in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Cobham.

Daily Mail Sport has been told the scoreline was 3-0 to the Premier League club, with Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Emmanuel Emegha all on the scoresheet.

Emegha, who joined Chelsea from sister club Strasbourg this summer, and Gittens were also on target in Chelsea's first pre-season friendly - a 3-1 victory over Crawley Town last Saturday, which Daily Mail Sport revealed.

While Chelsea are still waiting for several stars to return from the World Cup and their subsequent breaks, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have been among those at Cobham.

Chelsea travel to Australia tomorrow as they ramp up their preparations for the Premier League season.

Chelsea face Western Sydney Wanderers, who finished bottom of the Australian A League on Tuesday, July 28, before playing Spurs four days later.

The Blues will then travel to Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia for friendlies against Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta'zim.
