Chelsea midfielder Jorginho scored his fifth Italy goal against Poland becoming the Azzurri’s best scorer of the Mancini-era.
The former Napoli playmaker converted a penalty kick in the first half of Italy-Poland on Sunday.
As Sky Sport reports, Jorhino’s goal has allowed him to become Italy’s best scorer of the Mancini era alongside Torino’s Andrea Belotti who has also netted five goals.
Mancini was appointed Italy coach in 2018 and won 15 of his 24 games in charge of the Azzurri, scoring 54 goals and conceding 14.
Jorginho, 28, has scored all his Italy goals from the spot.
2020 Golden Boot winner Ciro Immobile has only netted three times during Mancini’s reign.
