Chelsea fans have been heavily critical of Jorginho this season, but their Jose Mourinho believes he is the "best midfielder in Europe".
The 27-year-old followed Maurizio Sarri from Napoli in the summer and has often been insulted by fans of the Blues.
An unexpected defence of the player came from Mourinho, who praised the Italy international when speaking to beIN Sports.
“For me, Jorginho is the best midfielder in Europe. The way he controls the game, how he recycles the ball in the transitions between attack and defence.
“His ability on the ball when he is under pressure is amazing.”
The former Hellas Verona player has made 50 appearances in all competitions for the London club this season.

After bumping his head, Jorginho suddenly managed to adapt to the league. Whatever happened is a miracle cos he adapted perfectly to the league. Last 2 games hes been one of our best midfielder and it scares me to say this but last 2 games, he was better than Kante.... so you never witness Jorginho until his last three games played. From pre season he started playing for Chelsea he performed well until getting to mid season we lost to Tottenham and lost three or four goals in a roll. Fans started to criticize him as they turned the table he started coming to his best but fans still criticized him of not scoring and giving out assist with which is not his main duty he then made a promise and score a crucial goal against Fulham. Fans always criticize him of not assisting a goal what of the passes he provided to the attackers they could have scored them all. Jorginho always gives out killer passes but the team fails to utilize it.

what most people don't see is that it's no jorginho that improve because he has been playing like that from onset but it is the other players that start moving instead of been stationary after releasing the ball check the game very well most of Chelsea player have started runs off ball compared to before and that is what sarri was complaining about before and that's the pattern jorginho is used to. But big ups to sarri he's a very good coach that need more time to balance his team
