José María García accuses Real Madrid of match fixing under Lorenzo Sanz

José María García has publicly denounced Real Madrid for alleged match-fixing. The sports journalist has accused Madrid of selling out in certain matches in the past, when Lorenzo Sanz was the club's president.

The journalist, a reference in the profession in Spain for more than three decades, has a terrible relationship with the president of Madrid, Florentino Pérez. Now retired from the front line of the news, José María García has taken the opportunity to review different topics of current sporting affairs.

In an interview on the COPE radio station, the journalist accused Los Blancos of match-fixing during the time when Lorenzo Sanz was president.

"In a safe there is a large, very large tape with all the film of a match at the Santiago Bernabéu that was sold," José María publicly denounced in an interview on COPE.

The journalist goes further and points directly to those in charge of the alleged operation.

"Those who brought and took the money were the sons of the president at the time," he added. "It was in a reserve team match, Castilla."

According to José María García, one of the sons of the then-president involved could be Fernando Sanz, currently at the Spanish Federation.
